Serpents

A Serpent is defined as a large snake. Also as a sly or treacherous spirit; especially one who exploits a position of trust, in order to betray it. Serpents are guilty of betrayal and deception- they are false hearted and unfaithful. They will make full use of any resource available until it is completely dried up.

Serpents have forked tongues and flick their tongues to smell the air around them. They coil up and wait for a victim. and then they strike and then they wrap their-selves around their victim squeezing the life out of them. Or they inject venom into their victim and hold them in a death grip until they die.

On March 27th, as I was walking down to the baseball field to open the restroom doors I saw coiled up, a very small rodent snake. My first thought was yikes! I had to step toward him to open the gate to the restroom. He was right at the base of the gate! I felt the Lord urge me to step one foot in front of the snake. And without fear I did. Of course the whole time I was aware that the snake was non-venomous. As I stepped in front of it, it slithered off into the shade.

This morning as I was headed home from the market, I saw a strange shape in the street as I approached the turn onto my block. From a distance it appeared to be a large cobra with its body stretched tall and its hood unfurled. But as I got closer, I realized that it was only a piece from a palm tree that had blown into the street because of the wind.

The Lord was quick to remind me that the snake was more crafty than any of the other wild animals He had created. The serpent likes to make him-self bigger and more intimidating than he actually is. The devil likes to bluff his way into our trust, so that he can exploit his position and make full use of the resources that we have provided for him.

He tries to make us afraid by exploiting our own weaknesses and insecurities. He coils him-self around our mind or around our spine – and lays in wait, patiently tightening his grip. He will try to get us to give him permission to poison us by our own guilt or shame. He is more crafty than any other spirit!

He stops up his ears so that he can't hear us command him to leave. He flicks his tongue to taste the atmosphere. He is tasting for fear and regret. This spirit is a deaf and dumb spirit. He will cause us to be deaf and dumb to his tactics, and to God's overcoming power! His overcoming power of Grace! Grace is more than undeserved favor. It is sustained power by Holy spirit to overcome the enemy. Jesus gave himself so that we could be free! But many of us are still walking around with serpents in us who are blocking our ears from hearing God's voice, and shutting our eyes to the open heaven before us. We aren't able to see the signs.

We have resurrection power by Christ's spirit in us that is to liberate us for all time from our bondage! We need to recognize this serpent who appears to be large and venomous, but who is really small and punny. We must speak against this spirit and violently shake it off into the eternal fire! It only has as much power as we allow it to have. It only poisons us as much as we allow it to. The Lord gave us instructions:

Luke 10:1-3 After the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where He was about to go. He told them: "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field. GO! I AM sending you out like lambs among wolves.."

Luke 10:16-20 "Whoever listens to you, listens to me. Whoever rejects you, rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects Him who sent me."

The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name." He replied, " I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven."

I AM is saying, "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

I AM is asking His children, "Do you believe me?" If it is so, then confess what has been HOLDING YOU BACK, AND SHAKE OFF THE SERPENT INTO THE ETERNAL FIRE! Now, GO! Walk in victory!"

Live beyond the borders of this earthly realm

In my journaling the morning of March 23, 2019, Jesus was speaking to me and to the difficulty I am seeing all around me with so many of His children (cancer, loss of loved ones, heartache)…

My way is light and life. My way is goodness and grace, mercy and reprieve. I desire my children to surrender their lives to me. For when you do, you receive an abundance that is beyond your own faith—beyond your own understanding. My child, do you believe this truth? Do you believe that my grace is sufficient to meet all your needs in this life and the next? Until you do you will only live halfway—you will only live to your potential. But I desire my children to live beyond the borders of this earthly realm. Yes, I desire my children to abide in Heavenly places. This earth is not your home.

Ever since I woke up I had Lauren Daigle’s song “You Say” in my head, so I stopped to listen to it.

After listening, this is what He continued to speak…

Yes, my child, I am telling you who you are. I am telling you whose you are and where your strength comes from—where you worth is held. You are held firmly within my arms. Yes, my child, my arms are secure. My love for you will never fail and so your strength will endure through every trial and circumstance. Tell this to every child of God whose strength is feeling torn—whose world is crashing down. Sometimes the weight of this world must come crashing down upon you in order for you to pick up the pieces by my strength.

I AM your God. I AM your defender in times when you seem weak or downtrodden. So come to me, my brokenhearted child. Come to me to receive your strength and supply. I will not give you more than you need in each moment, for then you would turn to another to help you get by. But, I, my child, AM all you need in this life. I AM all you need in this world and this fight. Yes, my child, this world is a fight—a battle of right and wrong, of light and dark. I AM the ultimate victor, but the battle still ensues. And, yes, the battle still claims its victims—casualties of the fight. But rest assured, there will be vindication for my children. Yes, my child, everything will be brought to light.

So do not weep longer than you must. Do not wait for vindication to come on its own. Usher it in, all you my children Let your mourning turn into dancing over the graves of your enemies. Yes, speak life into your own hearts and death into the lies of the enemy. Speak my truths and stand on my promises. This is my will and desire for this earth—that my children would stand and fight by the power of my authority. Yes, my child, the authority of Heaven.

My way is broader than you think

This is not a prophetic word like I would normally share, but it was so profound to me that I didn’t want to keep it to myself. I was asking the Lord for specific guidance regarding a situation at work. Now I have asked and received very specific instructions from Him in the past for various things, so this was something I expected to receive. I am still learning and growing in my faith journey and especially this new way of living and listening to His voice. I was facing a big decision at work and I wanted to receive His guidance in order to make the best choice. The response that I believe He gave me was not what I expected, yet truly transformative in my way of thinking and making decisions.

My child, do not be so concerned over what you do not know. Do you need to know [the answer to your decision]? No, my child, you do not need this although you desire to receive in perfect clarity. I have not given you an answer in black and white because I do not desire you to receive in this way. I do not desire you to be so dependent upon my instructions that you cannot think for yourself. Have I not said that my will is best and well planned ahead? Have I not assured you of my intent to pour out my provision upon your hand? Then why must you hem and haw as if a direct answer will only suffice?

I will make my way known when it is needed. I will guide you along your path when you veer or start to stray. But if you are clear and secure and headed along my way my direct instruction is not required. No, my child, my intent is not to hand you a step by step, paint by numbers kind of life. I desire you to take chances and live your life according to my will and my way. My way is broader than you think. My will is more secure—less fragile—than you expect.

So go on your way do your will as you see fit. If you miss I will carry you back to where you begin again. Nothing is ever too late or too far off that I cannot submit to my ways in my plans. I will see to it that my best is done. As you stay tuned to my heart I will guide you along your way and see to it that you don’t miss a beat. Continue on your way. Decide as you see best. I will help you and intercede for you so do not be afraid. You cannot miss my will when you are securely in place. I will not let your feet fall or even slip from place. I will catch you and uphold you whenever you go on your way. Stay in my arms and you have nothing from which to be afraid. Yes, my child, you are safe and well within my care.

This response was truly profound and freeing to me. Please don’t misunderstand. God is not saying we have a free pass to sin whenever we want. I believe He is saying that we are free to live in His will and His way and we don’t need to be afraid to make mistakes when our heart is aligned to His. It reminds me of my favorite message series from one of my favorite pastors, Steven Furtick. The message series is title God’s Will is Whatever and is based on Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Look for the holes in the sky where God’s glory has come down.

As I was walking through the grounds of the farm where I work, I was looking at the beautiful sky and and saying "thank you LORD for the beautiful day," when I noticed an unusual hole appear in a cloud.

The cloud was big and billowy and there was this odd little hole in it. As I continued in wonder, looking on another hole soon appeared. It looked as though God had poked his finger through the cloud twice.

I thought, "how unusual." So, I asked the LORD, " why are there holes in that cloud?" I noticed that none of the other clouds had odd little holes in them, only the one right in my view. This peaked my curiosity. I heard in my spirit, "they are glory holes." I asked, "Lord, why am I seeing these glory holes?" I heard, "Look for the glory holes that I am opening between heaven and earth."

A glory hole is described as; a big impressive-looking excavation that's open to the surface. It can be either the top end of a deep mine shaft, or an open-pit mine. Sometimes a mining process called block caving ; in which ore is removed from a tunnel, causes the underground excavation to collapse, forming a glory hole. The glory hole was a single shaft dug straight down in hopes of happening upon a gold seam.

Also, another colloquial use of the term is ; any small room or cupboard, or in the instance of Jack London's novel, Michael brother of Jerry, the hidden locker that at the stern of a ship . The expression indicates both the means to, and the chamber of a secret and hidden booty. (Treasure, money, jewels, and the like.)

God showed me a picture in my mind where there is an opening between heaven and earth where the two atmospheres come together; as when river meets sea. the waters swirl together, salt and fresh.

As when you strike a vain of gold, treasures untold, await God's children in the glory hole.

This is where God reveals His secrets and hidden treasures, mysteries and gifts for those who would receive them. The currency of heaven is found there in the presence of the open heaven. He longs for us to seek Him out. He does not hide to to keep us from Him. He hides so that we will come and find Him.

Look for the holes in the atmosphere where God has come down. Where Holy river of Fire from heaven reaches the oceans of His children's hearts. The place that He has hidden from the eyes of men and from the deceiver , the currency of heaven. He gives it freely to those who follow Him.

What is the currency of Heaven?

Matt. 4:23

Jesus went throughout Galilee teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

Matt. 10: 7-9

"As you go, proclaim this message; The kingdom of heaven has come near. Heal the sick, Raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have been given, freely give.

Miracles, signs and wonders; provision for the vision await those who not only believe, but follow.

Stand and fight by my promises

My child, do not fear or tremble when you hear such things as bad news and difficulty. Do not cower and submit to the enemy when he feeds you lies of self-sufficiency. I have given every gift. I have set every child in place. I have and no other. No other can stand and shout at the wind and see even the slightest shift. No, only I can speak to the universe and watch it obey. Only I can tell oceans to cease their roar. Yes, my child, only I. And yet I have given my children such things. I have given my believers this power in their hands. They do not use what I have given them. They let the enemy have his way when I have set eternity in their hearts. The power of Heaven runs through their veins.

Only speak, my children. Only lift up holy hands to Heaven and shout my praise. Watch the enemy flee at the sound of my name. All Heaven will resound when my children cry out my name. This can be a battle cry—a warrior shout—or a childlike tear of faith. Do not let fear hold you back for fear is contrary to my name. Yes, my children, shout my praise and watch the enemy flee. Watch him turn on his heels and run into the hill country of Ephraim.

This is my will—that my children would shout my praise into the face of the enemy that surrounds them. I do not leave my children alone to fend for themselves. No, I set them in place. I surround them with peace. I bring the whole army of angels to protect and subdue the enemy fortress. But my children must receive. My children must speak my praise and keep my name on their lips. If they do not believe, the enemy advances. If they do not stand and fight by my promises, my angels must watch in vain. My angels will not fight on behalf my people if they are not given a command. This is the earthly realm where my people are given the ruling authority. Only speak and my power goes out. Only believe in your heart and the enemy must flee. Yes, my children, speak and do not be silent. Do not let the enemy steal your voices. His ways are not my ways.

So stand, my children. Take back the ground you have lost. I have given the enemy into your hands. I have poised his strongholds for surrender. Only speak, my children. Listen to my voice and shout my praise. Remember my promises and believe my truth. Study my words of truth and let them sink deep within your hearts so that buried lies may emerge and be shown for what they are. As the light of my truth becomes brighter within your own hearts, so my promises become clearer on your lips. Let my love light the way. Let my truth be the guiding principle of faith.

I do not ask you to stand on words alone but on the Word that is your life. My life is yours. All I have been given I give freely to you. I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life, and I AM for you. Do you believe it? Do you believe these words even as I speak them? If you do not believe these basic truths then you will fail to know their deeper meanings. I desire to reveal to you all truth, but you must first receive and believe that I AM the light of this world. I AM and no other. Anyone who stands against me stands in darkness. Even my own children allow shadows to be cast across their lives because they do not fully surrender to my truths.

But I say no more. I say the time has come for truth to be revealed and falsehoods to be put in their place. The time for redemption is now. There is no further delay. This is my word that has been spoken. Now speak it yourselves, all you my children. Decree it on earth as it is in Heaven. Speak and believe and watch it come to be. Stand on my truths and obey my instructions. Wait in silence no longer. Now is the time to arise and shine—to raise a shout into the atmosphere. Yes, my children, arise and fight and shout for my time has come—my glory is here.
