Let your light shine visibly

I received this word more than a year ago (January 21, 2019), but was recently reminded of it and especially this verse…

What I tell you now in the darkness, shout abroad when daybreak comes. What I whisper in your ear, shout from the housetops for all to hear! Matthew 10:27 NLT

Although it is spoken directly to me, I believe it pertains to all of God’s children and I hope at least part of it speaks to you personally.

My child, be still. Stand tall in my Presence with hands open to receive. Do you feel me with you? Then why do you stumble over knowledge you do not need? Stop trying to receive every detail in words from my mouth. Instead receive from my heart and mind. Heart to heart and mind to mind–this is my will for you, my child. Be willing to step out. Be willing to take leaps of faith–big steps forward into new realms and new ways of experiencing my promises to you and for my children. Receive on their behalf. Receive in new ways and new methods. Share in new arenas and areas of influence.

Do you desire to see my world transformed before your very eyes? Then go and do. Be and become. Yes, my child, this is my word for you and for my children–go and do, be and become. Go to the ends of the earth. Do my work in your homes and in your workplaces, in your communities and every area of influence you find yourself in. Be my church–my answer to the nations. My answer to this broken and hurting world full of broken and hurting people. Become the bride of Christ you have been promised to be. Become the saints of this generation–the livers and doers of my Word.

Go and do, be and become. I do not say sit and listen or receive only in your heart. Everything I have given to you is meant to be shared. Everything I whisper into your heart and mind is meant to be shouted from across the mountaintops. Do not sit in comfort when I am calling you to stand and fight. I have not called you my warrior for no reason. I have not given you a spirit of faith to waste it on pleasantries and prophetic giftings that sit around for others to look in and see.

Go out. Go forth. Speak my words to all who will listen. Shout my decrees across this nation. Do all I am telling you and more. Do my mighty works. Spread my glory and power through your giftings. I have gifted you, my child, in so many ways. You have received an entire lifetime of my blessings. You have honed skills and experiences have shaped you into a unique offering of my love and power to this world. Step out your gifts–walk them out in your daily living.

I am speaking to you at all times and in many different ways. You will recall certain truths at times you need them, often not realizing the magnitude of the word until this later point in time. So do not limit your receiving from me to a certain time and place–a certain method or stance. Let my words flow with majesty–with style and grace according to each situation, method and need. Do not limit yourself and do not limit me. Step out in faith. Live this life I have given you in full.

Let fear have no way–no room in your life or way of living. I AM the Beginning and the End. There is no other apart from me. Do you believe that, my child? Do you believe that I AM everything you need? That everything you desire is found in me? Then live it out. Go and do in my Presence. Be and become a living example of what it means to be a child of the Most High God. Yes, my child, go. Do not hold back.

I have made you my mighty warrior. I have set my children in place for the world to see my goodness and glory. So do not hide this light that shines within. Do not sit amongst the shadows where light flickers in and out. Let your light shine visibly. Yes, strong and without flickering–a steady light. Simply be and do as I have created you–as I have called you. Others may receive or not–feel the warmth of my love-light or not. Do not concern yourself with how others react, only concern yourself with my Presence and being a steady, constant light-bearer in my name. I will do the rest.

My child, be still

Since the very first words I began journaling from the Lord almost a year ago He has repeated this phrase over and over again: “My child, be still.” These past few weeks, as I have found even less time to spend in stillness and rest, this phrase has increased to the point that He almost doesn’t tell me anything else. What does it mean to be still, you may be wondering. Well, He even gave me an answer to that. Stillness practically speaking can look differently for every person. In His words to me, stillness is heart and mind surrendered to Jesus in His Presence.

Perhaps for you that looks like eyes closed in a quiet room meditating on His promises. Or for another it may look like eyes wide open taking in the beauty of His creation as you walk through a park. However it looks for you, don’t miss the key of surrendered heart and mind. I believe that truly is what He has been speaking to me so consistently as an invitation not so much a command. “My child, be still.” So keep that description in mind as you read the word below which I received from the Lord on March 19, 2019.

My child, be still. I tell you this time and time again because it is the most important lesson for you in this season. Be still. Be free to receive my glory in all its forms. Stillness allows you to catch my breath, to feel my heart, to hear my prayer over you and over my people. Be still, my child. Be still and receive. You desire answers and solutions to the world’s problems, but I desire you. When you go seeking for the truth, you must find me. When you go seeking for my truth you must first spend time with me. Rest in my Presence. Rest in my powerful embrace. I AM with you and I AM for you. Do you believe it is not so? Do you believe I have left you on your own? Of course not! I AM right here by your side. I AM right here in your midst. Only listen, only speak my words of faith. Listen and speak and go and do, but do not go and do under your own strength. Do only what I have placed in your hands to do.

What is this I have placed in your hands, you ask? I will tell you. I have given you a world’s share of gifts and resources. I have given you Heaven’s connection to this earth. Speak and do my work upon this earth. What is my work, you ask? My work is what I have placed in your heart and in your hands. Whose house do you serve? Whose garden do you tend to? Do not sit idle while my children suffer in vain. Do not stand aside while my name is blasphemed by the nations. Speak and take your stand. Speak my truth over this place.

Live beyond the borders of this earthly realm

In my journaling the morning of March 23, 2019, Jesus was speaking to me and to the difficulty I am seeing all around me with so many of His children (cancer, loss of loved ones, heartache)…

My way is light and life.  My way is goodness and grace, mercy and reprieve.  I desire my children to surrender their lives to me.  For when you do, you receive an abundance that is beyond your own faith—beyond your own understanding.  My child, do you believe this truth?  Do you believe that my grace is sufficient to meet all your needs in this life and the next?  Until you do you will only live halfway—you will only live to your potential.  But I desire my children to live beyond the borders of this earthly realm.  Yes, I desire my children to abide in Heavenly places.  This earth is not your home.

Ever since I woke up I had Lauren Daigle’s song “You Say” in my head, so I stopped to listen to it.

After listening, this is what He continued to speak…

Yes, my child, I am telling you who you are.  I am telling you whose you are and where your strength comes from—where you worth is held.  You are held firmly within my arms.  Yes, my child, my arms are secure.  My love for you will never fail and so your strength will endure through every trial and circumstance.  Tell this to every child of God whose strength is feeling torn—whose world is crashing down.  Sometimes the weight of this world must come crashing down upon you in order for you to pick up the pieces by my strength.

I AM your God.  I AM your defender in times when you seem weak or downtrodden.  So come to me, my brokenhearted child.  Come to me to receive your strength and supply.  I will not give you more than you need in each moment, for then you would turn to another to help you get by.  But, I, my child, AM all you need in this life.  I AM all you need in this world and this fight.  Yes, my child, this world is a fight—a battle of right and wrong, of light and dark.  I AM the ultimate victor, but the battle still ensues.  And, yes, the battle still claims its victims—casualties of the fight.  But rest assured, there will be vindication for my children.  Yes, my child, everything will be brought to light.

So do not weep longer than you must.  Do not wait for vindication to come on its own.  Usher it in, all you my children  Let your mourning turn into dancing over the graves of your enemies.  Yes, speak life into your own hearts and death into the lies of the enemy.  Speak my truths and stand on my promises.  This is my will and desire for this earth—that my children would stand and fight by the power of my authority.  Yes, my child, the authority of Heaven.

My way is broader than you think

This is not a prophetic word like I would normally share, but it was so profound to me that I didn’t want to keep it to myself.  I was asking the Lord for specific guidance regarding a situation at work.  Now I have asked and received very specific instructions from Him in the past for various things, so this was something I expected to receive.  I am still learning and growing in my faith journey and especially this new way of living and listening to His voice.  I was facing a big decision at work and I wanted to receive His guidance in order to make the best choice.  The response that I believe He gave me was not what I expected, yet truly transformative in my way of thinking and making decisions.

My child, do not be so concerned over what you do not know. Do you need to know [the answer to your decision]? No, my child, you do not need this although you desire to receive in perfect clarity. I have not given you an answer in black and white because I do not desire you to receive in this way. I do not desire you to be so dependent upon my instructions that you cannot think for yourself. Have I not said that my will is best and well planned ahead? Have I not assured you of my intent to pour out my provision upon your hand? Then why must you hem and haw as if a direct answer will only suffice?

I will make my way known when it is needed. I will guide you along your path when you veer or start to stray. But if you are clear and secure and headed along my way my direct instruction is not required. No, my child, my intent is not to hand you a step by step, paint by numbers kind of life. I desire you to take chances and live your life according to my will and my way. My way is broader than you think. My will is more secure—less fragile—than you expect.

So go on your way do your will as you see fit. If you miss I will carry you back to where you begin again. Nothing is ever too late or too far off that I cannot submit to my ways in my plans. I will see to it that my best is done. As you stay tuned to my heart I will guide you along your way and see to it that you don’t miss a beat. Continue on your way. Decide as you see best. I will help you and intercede for you so do not be afraid. You cannot miss my will when you are securely in place. I will not let your feet fall or even slip from place. I will catch you and uphold you whenever you go on your way. Stay in my arms and you have nothing from which to be afraid. Yes, my child, you are safe and well within my care.

This response was truly profound and freeing to me.  Please don’t misunderstand. God is not saying we have a free pass to sin whenever we want. I believe He is saying that we are free to live in His will and His way and we don’t need to be afraid to make mistakes when our heart is aligned to His. It reminds me of my favorite message series from one of my favorite pastors, Steven Furtick.  The message series is title God’s Will is Whatever and is based on Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Here is a link to the first part of the message series from April 6th, 2013: The only way to know God’s will.

Be filled with my power and rejoicing

Receive, my child. Look up and receive. Look up and rejoice for my time is near—yes, it is already here! Rejoice in me and in my words. Rejoice in me and in my voice speaking to my children. Yes, my child, I am speaking anew. I am pouring out like never before.

Receive, all you my children. Receive and rejoice! Receive and let my love be poured out—my glory be rained down upon your broken hearts and empty spirits. Receive, my children. Receive in full. Receive and be filled with my Presence—be filled with my power and rejoicing. Yes, I am rejoicing over you, my precious children. I am reigning over you, my mighty warriors. Look up and receive. Receive your anointing. Receive your weapons—your battle gear. Receive your instructions for moving forward against the enemy. Yes, my children, all you who hear the sound of my voice, receive.

The battle is not lost—no, it has barely begun! Move forward, my children. Move forward as one accord—as one with me. Let my Spirit go out before you and mark the enemy lines—the enemy targets. Yes, my Spirit will guide you to the heat of the battle and where to direct my voice of power and might. I am with you and I am for you. I will arm you with strength and make your way perfect. Only follow me and heed my instructions. Follow me and listen to my voice.

I cry out to you in the darkness for the sake of my children who are not fully in the light. Shine my light for all to see you. Shine my loving light as a beacon of hope and strength and promise to come. Yes, my love is my promise to this world. You will not be left in your brokenness. You will not remain in your fallen state. No, I will redeem you to myself. I will redeem you and restore you to your former glory. I will raise you up and set you back in place.

Come to me, all you my people. Come to me and receive my love and grace. I have loved you with an everlasting love and I will see you on your way. Come to me and to my promises. Come to me and to my arms of grace. My way is good and my plans are perfect. Let my plans come to full completion—my promises to full power.

I received this word from the Lord for His children on October 18, 2018.
